The Paraprofessional's Guide to the Inclusive Classroom: Working as a Team

A great resource for all three members of an inclusive classroom: general education teacher, special education teacher, and paraprofessional. This book includes discussions and activities that delineate the roles and responsibilities within an inclusive classroom. There is also specific training on how to use the book as a resource, and forms to support and reinforce appropriate use of every member within the classroom.

Interactions: Collaboration Skills for School Professionals

This resource focuses on the essential elements of collaboration within the context of various school-based situations. In addition to a detailed chapter on interactions with paraeducators, this book discusses different aspects of collaboration (i.e., teams, co-teaching, difficult interactions, etc.) The information is supported by the authors' use of classroom and school situations for "putting ideas into practice." Each component of collaboration is also explored in relation to educational law, which creates a connection between the two.
